Axing Your Referral partner?
)
No, this is not about getting rid of your referral partner, it was a social event enjoyed by members of the BNI Leading Edge chapter and some of their business colleagues.
Not only is it a good way to release stress - imagine a particluarly tough boss or client - but it also requires coordination between the eye, the mind and the body. It is harder than it looks!
A fun evening was spent throwing axes around and discussing how we can exchange even more business referrals in Brampton and Mississauga with our chapter members, our business colleagues and associates, and even our families!

Notable Networker Award - May
)
BNI Leading Edge President Saverio Di Mondo is seen here awarding the Notable Networker Award to Balbir Pabila for the month of May. The Notable Networker Award is given to the member who has consistently strived to meet or exceed networking goals such as referrals, one-on-one meetings with other chapter members or inviting visitors to attend the weekly meeting.
Balbir has invited the most visitors to attend our Visitor Day held on May 31.
BNI Leading Edge provides excellent business networking opportunities for Brampton and Mississauga-based businesses.
One-to-One Contest Winner
)
During the month of May, we held a contest to see who could have the most one-to-one meetings with the other members AND provide the most referrals to the members they had met with.
Here we have Education Coordinator John Mullen (Civil Litigator) rewarding Maureen Bennett Henry (Family Law) for winning the contest. Maureen has proven the most adept at generating business referrals for her partner during the contest period.
Wine Tasting Event
)
BNI Leading Edge holds many social events throughout the year, and that allows the members to meet outside of the weekly meetings and further develop their relationships.
The most recent social event was wine tasting - what better environment to learn more about your referral partners and to discuss how to exchange business referrals than with a glass of wine in hand! It's a great idea for client events also.
Not only did we enjoy sampling the wines, but we also helped make 2 batches of wine - one red and one white. To see more picture check out the photo album on our Facebook page.
Carpooling, designated drivers and Uber were all part of the evening so that everyone could enjoy themselves and safely get back home.
Roaring Success for Visitor Day
)
It was a packed house with almost 40 business people getting together at BNI Leading Edge this morning for Visitor Day. Business people from all sorts of business categories and industries were networking, and not only exchanging business cards but business referrals and thank yous for closed business. Members and guests provided referrals for one another for business in Brampton, Mississauga and Oakville.
A new member was inducted today: Indranil Ghosh, a real estate agent with Royal LePage in Brampton, serving both residential and commercial clients across the GTA. Indranil - or simply Ghosh as he likes to be known - is seen here flanked by BNI Leading Edge President Saverio Di Mondo and mentor Cyril Tahtadjian.
We are still looking to grow our chapter and have several categories open - check out our Wanted Categories here.
Below, a passionate John Mullen - Education Coordinator - is seen explaining the benefits of BNI to members and guests alike: networking opportunities, increasing your public speaking skills, adding so many salespeople to your workforce without having to pay them, and of course: referrals!
